Flamengo agrees to return striker David Viana

Top scorer will join Mengão's U-15 squad

Striker David Viana, 14, signed a three-year training contract with Flamengo this Monday morning (24), at CT Ninho do Urubu. The athlete had already played in the Rubro-Negro youth teams between 2018 and 2020. 

Known for scoring many goals, David celebrates his return to Mais Querido and promises to score goals: 

"I'm grateful to Flamengo for everything and I hope to contribute to the team by scoring lots of goals. Flamengo is growing every day, has a structure that is among the best in the world, and certainly the best in Brazil," says the athlete.  

Vice President of Youth Football, Women's Football and Futsal Vitor Zanelli highlighted that Flamengo's development process has been carried out with excellence, which has attracted notable players like David Viana to the club: 

"We are very happy that he has returned home. It is a reflection of the good work that has been done with the kids. We wish David all the success in the world. And we are here to help develop his full potential and, consequently, bring many achievements to the Nation," concluded Zanelli. 

The striker will join Flamengo's U-15 squad.
