The start was given for the Flamengo Adidas Cup 2022. In an event held on Saturday night (3) at the Events Center of the Ramada Hotel, in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, the delegations of the eight teams (Flamengo, Arsenal (ING), Colo-Colo (CHI), Atlético Nacional (COL), Santos Laguna (ME), Independiente Del Valle (EQU), São Paulo and Atlético MG) participating in the first edition of the largest international tournament for youth clubs ever held in Brazil gathered for the presentation cocktail and launch of the competition.

The Vice President of Youth Football, Women's Football and Futsal Vitor Zanelli, and the General Manager of Youth Football Luiz Carlos represented Flamengo, in an event hosted by Emerson Santos and Luana Trindade, presenters of FlaTV.

"This is another step we're taking to further internationalize the Flamengo brand, especially in youth football. We always travel the world to compete in competitions. This time, we're bringing major clubs from six countries to our training center and offering them our entire infrastructure. The partnership with Adidas is extremely important for this competition, which we hope will become an annual event and a part of the youth football calendar from now on. We're very pleased, and I hope it will be a great championship in every aspect," said Vitor Zanelli.
