The largest international youth tournament organized in Brazil will take place from December 9th to 16th at Ninho do Urubu and will feature 10 teams: Flamengo, São Paulo-BRA, Arsenal-ING, Santos Laguna-MEX, Independiente Del Valle-EQU, Atletico Nacional-COL, Midtjylland-DIN, Dinamo Zagreb-CRO, Braga-POR and Alianza Lima-PER.

"The last two editions have been nothing but praise. We have clubs that ask to participate every year, and we always try to establish a profile, try to change things up a bit, and always bring new things. The goal is to showcase the club's image, Flamengo's structure, who we are, what Flamengo represents in South America and what it can represent in the world," said Zanelli.

The vice-president also commented on the three clubs that will compete in the championship for the first time:

"We will have the opportunity to count on three teams from different countries that will compete in the Flamengo Adidas Cup for the first time. Dinamo Zagreb from Croatia, where we have already played tournaments in the country, having been invited by them. And Braga from Portugal, who we faced this year in a tournament in Morocco, and Alianza Lima from Peru," he added.

Two-time champion of the international tournament, Flamengo U-16 beat São Paulo in the final last year and won the championship for the second time with the 2007 generation.

The participating teams will play within their group (5 each), in a single round. The two (2) best teams

The teams that qualify from each group of the competition will advance to the semifinals. FlaTV will broadcast all matches live and will also provide the signal for the participating teams to broadcast their games in their respective countries.
