After winning their fourth Copa São Paulo title undefeated, Flamengo looks to the future and has just secured a jewel that, with careful polishing over the coming years, has everything it needs to bear the same fruits that the Red-Black team has been reaping with Vinícius Junior, Lucas Paquetá, Felipe Vizeu, and, more recently, Lincoln, among many others. Midfielder Reinier, 16, signed his first professional contract and will be a "Garoto do Ninho" (Nest's Boy) until at least 2021.

A highly skilled number 10 with exceptional vision and excellent finishing, Reinier competed in the 15 South American Under-2017 Championship with the Brazilian national team in Argentina and caught the attention of everyone who watched the competition. In 2018, the midfielder joined Flamengo's Under-17 squad and will be led by coach Phelipe Leal in the challenges throughout the season, including the quest for a third consecutive state championship.
