On Friday afternoon (15), midfielder Matheus França, captain and one of the great highlights of the U-17 team, two-time Brazilian champion and finalist of the Copa do Brasil, signed the renewal of his contract with Flamengo. More opportunities for the Boy from the Nest to continue giving much joy to the Red-Black Nation and winning titles with the Sacred Mantle.
"Today was another happy day in my life. I want to thank God, my family, my agents, and Flamengo for believing and trusting in me. I know the meaning and responsibility of wearing the Sacred Mantle, and I feel honored to have this great privilege. I hope to continue having fun on the field, always focused on the goals the club has for me. I also want to thank all the staff and teammates I've had so far on this journey. Thanks to their support, I was able to contribute my good football to the achievements. We're still together, Nation! There are still many titles to win and celebrate together. Thank you, my Mengão!" said Matheus França.
"I'm very happy to renew this partnership with one of the great stars of our youth football. Matheus is a midfielder with great technical quality, and mentally prepared to be one of the great stars of Brazilian and world football in the near future. He's an athlete trained by Flamengo, who has already been providing us with above-average technical performance for several years, and who will certainly continue to bring much joy to the Red-Black Nation in the coming seasons," said Vitor Zanelli, Vice President of Youth Football, Women's Football, and Futsal at Flamengo.
