Flamengo is in the quarterfinals of the Fattorie Donna Giulia Youth Cup U-15, held in Italy. The Boys from the Nest beat Sassuolo 4-2 on penalties, after a 0-0 draw, this Friday (25), in Pompeii. Now, the team led by coach João Fernandes will face Fiorentina, this Saturday, at 6:30 am (Brasília time). If they advance to the semifinals, the fight for a place in the final will be on the same day.

After achieving two victories last Thursday (24), Flamengo, already qualified, rested the athletes and lost 1-0 to Benevento. As it finished second in group H, it faced Sassuolo, first in group F.

The match was fiercely contested, and the goalless draw forced a penalty shootout to decide who would be the winner. After a scare from Fraga's first missed penalty, saved by the opposing goalkeeper, the "Garotos do Ninho" scored four times in a row, with Leonardo, Thauan, Samuel, and Guilherme scoring, securing their place in the quarterfinals, as Sassuolo missed two attempts.
