Flamengo beats Botafogo away from home and advances to the final of the Copa Rio Sub-16
After a draw in Gávea, in the first leg, Garotos do Ninho start the classification in Nilton Santos, with a 1-0 victory

In a closely contested match against Botafogo, the red-and-black team beat their rivals 1-0, who played at home, on the synthetic turf of the Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium, this Sunday (8). Right-back Ruan Mateus scored the winning goal. In the first leg, the teams had drawn 1-1, at Gávea.
The teams played a very even match at Nilton Santos and were unable to break the deadlock in the first half. After the break, the situation remained largely unchanged, until Ruan Mateus pounced on a corner kick from the left flank of the attack and scored the decisive goal in the 28th minute of the second half.
Flamengo's opponent will be Vasco or Fluminense, who play this Sunday at 15 p.m. at Marcelo Vieira Stadium in Xerém. Vasco won the first game, played at Nivaldo Pereira Stadium (Nivaldão) in Nova Iguaçu, 3-2, and will need a draw.
