Flamengo won their second consecutive match in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. In a highly contested classic, the Garotos do Ninho showed great commitment and defeated Fluminense 1-0, on Wednesday afternoon (22), at the José Bastos Padilha Stadium. With the result, Rubro-Negro reached 13 points in seven games and remained in the qualifying zone.

The game was quite intense, mostly concentrated in midfield from the start, with many duels for possession. Flamengo tried to use the flanks as an outlet, with good plays on both sides, but struggled to create scoring chances. Fluminense, on the other hand, sought to close down defensively and transition as quickly as possible. However, Flamengo's defense held the advantage.

The most dangerous play was a shot from Sayago, from outside the area, deflected for a corner. At 38 minutes, Daniel Sales was fouled on the right wing. Pablo took the free kick directly and the ball deflected off the wall. The opponent responded in kind at 44 minutes: a foul on the right side of the attack and a safe save by Leo Nannetti.
