Flamengo has qualified for the quarter-finals of the first edition of the Copa do Brasil Sub-15. The Garotos do Ninho performed beautifully and thrashed Fluminense 4-1, on Sunday afternoon (31), at the Estádio José Bastos Padilha, in Gávea. Deivid, Moraes, Pavuna and Matheus Eduardo scored the goals for the victory.

Despite the comfortable lead, the start of the match was anything but easy. Fluminense opened the scoring just three minutes into the game. However, Flamengo absorbed the setback well and equalized. Deivid found the net, making it 1-1 in the 26th minute. The score remained unchanged until the referee signaled the end of the first half.

After the break, Flamengo returned determined to secure their spot as quickly as possible, and the turnaround didn't take long. Paulinho made the play and passed to Moraes, who scored Flamengo's second goal just five minutes in. The advantage in the match and the rival's obligation to attack to avoid elimination left Flamengo in a comfortable position, ready to guarantee their place. They scored two goals in three minutes: Pavuna scored the third, taking advantage of an assist from another player, and, in a role reversal, Pavuna sealed the rout after receiving the ball from Matheus Eduardo.

With the victory, Flamengo maintained a 100% winning record in the competition. They played four matches, scoring 18 goals and conceding only three. The quarterfinals, semifinals, and final of the competition will be played on July 26th, July 29th, and August 1st, respectively.
