A confidence-boosting victory for the U-20 Ninho Boys. Coming off a negative home result in the last round, Flamengo defeated Corinthians 2-1 this Wednesday at the Inamar Arena in Diadema, São Paulo, in the Brazilian Championship. Guilherme and Shola scored the red-and-black goals.
The next commitment of the red-black kids will take place next Wednesday (24), in the classic against Botafogo, at 15 pm, in Gávea.
Team opened up an advantage in the 1st half
Needing to earn three points, the team led by coach Filipe Luís controlled the action well from the start of the game.
In the 8th minute, in a beautiful individual play on the right, Daniel Salles crossed into the area, and Guilherme caught it with his left foot to make it 1-0.
At 34, Shola, with a low shot outside the area, extended the lead: 2-0.
With an extra player for most of the match, due to the expulsion of the opposing team's player, Mengão managed the result, even with the goal conceded and returned to Rio de Janeiro with the mission accomplished.
