Flamengo is the two-time champion of the Conmebol Libertadores U-20

The Ninho Boys make history and beat Palmeiras on penalties, with goalkeeper Lucão shining.

In a thrilling penalty shootout, Flamengo became the two-time CONMEBOL Libertadores U-20 champion, defeating Palmeiras 3-2 (1-1 in regulation time) in Paraguay this Sunday. Felipe Lima scored the red-and-black goal in regulation time. In the penalty shootout, goalkeeper Lucão shone, saving two shots.

The "Garotos do Ninho" (The Nest Boys) make history for the red-black youth team by winning two Libertadores Cups (2024/2025) in nine editions of the competition. And they will once again compete this year in the Intercontinental Cup, where they will also fight for a second title.

It is also worth mentioning that many athletes and coach Cleber dos Santos, who lifted the South American trophy tonight, were also part of the 2025 Rio de Janeiro champion squad, won this Sunday against Fluminense at Maracanã.

And the weekend was all red and black. Last Saturday, the U-14 team became champions of the Brasil Soccer Cup by beating América-MG 4-1 in the final.

The game

A very intense match, with regional rivalry at its peak. Just 20 seconds into the first half, Shola made a quick play and showed his hand.
