In the seventh round of the Carioca Sub-20, Flamengo drew 2-2 with Botafogo on Friday afternoon (6), at CEFAT. The Rubro-Negro's goals were scored by Petterson and Mateusão, from a penalty.
The game
The match began with both teams closely studied, with Flamengo enjoying more possession. With few scoring chances, the red-and-black team exchanged passes in the attacking half, looking for space in Botafogo's defense. In the 24th minute, Marcos Paulo passed to Petterson inside the box. The striker fired the ball wide of the net. The first half ended goalless.
One minute into the second half, Botafogo opened the scoring with Kauê, making it 1-0. The Ninho Boys continued to search for the equalizer, while Botafogo defended. In the 16th minute, the home team extended their lead with Wendel's penalty, making it 2-0. It's worth noting that the foul was committed outside the box, but the referee awarded the penalty.
Shortly after the ball went out, Mais Querido pulled one back with Petterson, who received the ball from André and fired a powerful shot into the corner: 2-1. In the 23rd minute, Mengão missed an incredible chance to equalize. Mateusão sped down the field, entered the box, and passed the ball to Petterson, unmarked, who fired over the bar.
In the 33rd minute, the black-and-white goalkeeper conceded a penalty on Mateusão. The number 9 simply displaced the goalkeeper and leveled the score at 2-2. The red-and-blacks searched for the winning goal until the last minute, but the derby ended in a draw at CEFAT.

The Most Beloved returns to the field on Saturday (14) to face Nova Iguaçu, at 10 am, in Gávea, for the eighth round of the Carioca Sub-20.
