In the first leg of the Carioca Sub-15 semifinals, Flamengo drew 0-0 with Botafogo on Sunday afternoon (21), in Gávea. With the result, Mais Querido will have to win the second leg to reach the championship final.

The game

The derby started off fiercely contested, with a fierce battle for possession. Botafogo was more likely to attack, but Flamengo marked well and allowed little space. Little by little, the Boys from the Nest began to loosen up and began to dominate the attacking field.

In the 25th minute, Schlickmann took a corner kick into the box, and the Black and White defense headed it into their own net. The ball hit the crossbar. Mengão almost scored the first goal! The first half ended in a 0-0 draw.

In the second half, Rubro-Negro continued exchanging passes back and forth, looking for a gap in Botafogo's defense, which was defending well. The game became very tight, and fouls from both sides were constantly at a standstill. In the 20th minute, Lorran controlled the ball over the defense, burst into the box, and fired a left-footed shot. The goalkeeper jumped to the corner to make the save.

In the final stretch, the Garotos do Ninho pressed the black and white team in search of the winning goal, but the tie remained. In the second leg, Flamengo will need a win to qualify for the final. Botafogo, having had a better campaign in the Guanabara Cup, will have the advantage of a draw to advance.
