Flamengo is the champion of the Under-14 Voltaço Cup
Goalkeeper Bruno was the hero once again in the penalty shootout against Fluminense.
By Communication - inBased on race, love and passion, Flamengo was crowned champion of the Under-14 Voltaço Cup.
In a thrilling final held this Sunday at the Raulino de Oliveira stadium, the Garotos do Ninho beat Fluminense 6-5 on penalties, after trying to equalize at 2-2 in the final minutes of the second half.
Emanuel and João Neto scored in the last minute of regulation time. And in the penalty shootout, Flamengo goalkeeper Bruno saved the opposing team's sixth penalty. It's worth noting that the Mais Querido goalkeeper saved three penalties in the semifinal against Serrano last Saturday, and today, after the victory, was confirmed in the championship's team of the tournament.
This is the third victory for the 2009 generation this year. Previously, they lifted the Brazilian championship trophy and the Abano Football Trophy in Italy!
