Flamengo conceded a goal early in the match, managed to equalize and ended up being beaten 4-1 by Vasco, in the sixth round of the Campeonato Carioca Sub-20. Captain Daniel Sales scored the goal for Rubro-Negro in the match, played on the morning of this Saturday (6), at the José Bastos Padilha Stadium, in Gávea-RJ.

In the first dangerous move, Vasco opened the scoring in the second minute, with Samuel. Flamengo struck back in the fourth minute, with a free kick from Guilherme on the right. The opposing defender headed the ball, and it skimmed the right post. The game continued without much trouble for the goalkeepers, with the focus being more concentrated in the midfield, where the marking prevailed.

After the technical timeout, Flamengo took more initiative, especially on the right flank. Daniel Sales' support provided good attacks. In the 37th minute, however, a cross came from the left, aimed at Gusttavo, but Da Mata shot over. Flamengo stepped up their game and put the opposition under pressure, but failed to create any clear-cut chances.

The second half began much like the first. Flamengo had more possession, while the opponent sought to defend and quickly counterattack. The difficulty in penetrating the defense forced many crosses, and the Vasco goalkeeper had the advantage.

The equalizer finally came in the 17th minute, with a beautiful shot from outside the box by Daniel Sales. The number 2 pounced on a loose ball and struck hard. But Vasco scored a minute later, with Riquelme following a rebound in the box. In the 23rd minute, the opposition scored the third, scored by Samuel.
