In the first 80 minutes, Flamengo prevailed, winning 2-1 over Fluminense in Laranjeiras, with goals from Victor Hugo and João Pedro. Tomorrow, in Gávea, the teams will face off again in the grand final of the U-15 Rio de Janeiro State Championship. The victory in the first leg gives the Garotos do Ninho a significant advantage, and they can be crowned champions with just a draw.
Coach Mario Jorge's team is having a great season. Earlier this year, they won the Nike Premier Cup, an international competition, undefeated, which gave the team the right to compete in the World Cup in Austria.
Subsequently, their brilliant campaign in the Guanabara Cup was also crowned with a title. The "Garotos do Ninho" reached the impressive 50-point mark in the standings. With only one loss in the entire group stage, they lifted the trophy with a round to spare.
