Flamengo and Fluminense draw 2-2 in the Guanabara Under-20 Cup

In a match valid for the eighth round of the Guanabara Under-20 Cup, Flamengo drew with Fluminense 2-2 on Sunday morning (14), at Vale das Laranjeiras, in Xerém. Petterson and Ryan Luka scored Mengão's goals. With the result, Rubro-Negro reached 11 points in the standings, with two games less.

The game
The first half was well-contested, with the Ninho Boys exchanging passes in attack, looking to create scoring chances. In the 26th minute, Fluminense opened the scoring with a Freitas header, making it 1-0. The Tricolor then extended their lead with a shot from outside the box by right-back Justen, making it 2-0.

In the second half, the red-black team maintained possession of the ball in attack, exchanging passes in search of finding spaces in the tricolor defense.

Then, in the 16th minute, Mengão's goal came from Petterson. The number 11 struck a powerful shot from outside the box, and the ball went into the goalkeeper's right corner: 2-1. It's worth highlighting the assist from Ryan Luka, who had just entered the match.


In the final minutes, Rubro-Negro equalized! Petterson crossed low into the box and Ryan Luka tapped it into the net: 2-2. The Boys from the Nest tried to turn the game around until the final minute, but left the field with the draw and another point in the standings.

The Under-20 Ninho Boys return to the field next Wednesday (17) to face Volta Redonda, at 15 pm, at Raulino de Oliveira, in a delayed game of the fifth round of the Guanabara Cup in the category.
