Opening the final of the Carioca Sub-15, Flamengo drew with Fluminense 1-1 on Saturday morning (16), at the Marcelo Vieira stadium, in Xerém. Pedro Ferreira scored the red-black goal in the game. Now, the Garotos do Ninho will decide the title at home, next Saturday, in Gávea.

The game
Under heavy rain in Xerém, the derby began with both teams trying to maintain possession. Gradually, the red-and-black team began to keep the ball more in the attacking half. Fluminense, for their part, also threatened to attack, and in the 17th minute, they forced Werneck into a fine save, preventing the game's first goal.

In the 23rd minute, Mengão opened the scoring! João Vitor arrived well on the left wing of the attack and crossed into the box. The goalkeeper made a poor clearance, and the ball fell to Pedro Ferreira, who simply tapped it into the net: 1-0. The Boys from the Nest went into halftime with a partial victory.

In the second half, Fluminense tried to maintain possession in attack, but Flamengo managed to stave off the danger. In the 20th minute, Fluminense equalized with a Danilo goal, making it 1-1. After the equalizer, the home team went all out and put pressure on Flamengo.

Trying to respond, the Ninho Boys created a dangerous opportunity in the 26th minute. Luiz Guilherme unleashed a beautiful overhead kick from just inside the box. The ball sailed over the crossbar. Due to the heavy rain, the pitch was covered in puddles, making it difficult for both teams to exchange passes. The match ended in a draw in Xerém, leaving everything open for the return leg.
