Flamengo and São Paulo deliver the biggest routs on the first day of the Flamengo Adidas Cup
The opening round of the largest international youth tournament ever held in Brazil saw 20 goals scored in four games.
By Ian Sena - inThe Flamengo Adidas Cup, the largest international youth football tournament ever held in Brazil, started off on the right foot. In the four games of the first round, which took place this Sunday morning (4) on fields 3 and 4 of CT George Helal, 20 goals were scored in four games, an incredible average of five goals per game. The highlights were Mengão's 5-1 victory over Arsenal (ING) (Felipe Lima [2], Felipe Teresa [2] and Guilherme Gomes. Coby Small scored the consolation goal for the English team) and São Paulo's 5-0 victory over Atlético Nacional (COL) (Ryan Santos [2], Lucas Ferreira [2] and Felipe Silva). Rubro-Negro and Tricolor lead their groups on goal difference.

In the second round of the first round, Santos Laguna (MEX) defeated Colo-Colo (CHI) 2-0, with goals from Tahiel Jimenez and Diego Vargas. And in the best match of the day, Atlético MG defeated Independiente Del Valle 4-3. Mateus Iseppe scored three times and is the competition's top scorer. The other Atlético goal was scored by Kauã Sidney. Ismael Sanchez, Javier Montezuma, and Kendry Paez scored for the Ecuadorians.
