After starting the game at a very strong pace, Flamengo opened the scoring and ended up suffering a comeback against Corinthians, being beaten 2-1, this Wednesday (11), at the Luso Brasileiro Stadium. Pedro Leão scored the red-black goal, in a match valid for the 13th round of the Brazilian Under-20.

From the start of the match, Flamengo sought to keep possession of the ball as much as possible and create well-worked plays. And that's how they came very close to scoring in the third minute, with a triangle on the right between Rayan Lucas, Felipe Teresa, and Wanderson, who delivered a powerful cross for João Alves to finish.

In the 9th minute, another combination between Felipe Teresa and Wanderson. The right-back reached the bottom again and crossed for Guilherme to finish. Corinthians responded with a shot wide, to the left of Lucas Furtado. In the 13th minute, Pedro Leão scored his seventh goal of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, taking advantage of a direct pass from Iago, who hit a pass from the defensive half.

After a Corinthians corner kick, the red-and-black team launched a swift counterattack, with Felipe Teresa crossing back and the opposing defense clearing in the 22nd minute. Three minutes later, another arrival from the right, Wanderson sent a cross-shot that was well saved by the goalkeeper, who palmed it away for a corner. The right-back forced the Corinthians number 1 into another difficult save.

Flamengo, with a strong presence in attack, pressed forward and had chances to increase the score. However, the goal failed to come, and Corinthians equalized in the 31st minute. In the 40th minute, the Red-Blacks threatened with a free kick from João Alves, which Iago nearly connected with with a header.

In the second half, the scenario remained similar. Another move down the right, with Felipe Teresa, gave Flamengo a good chance, but the defense saved. In the 13th minute, Fabiano shot from distance, but the goalkeeper saved. Iago hit a free kick just wide of the post in the 18th minute. Corinthians scored in the 23rd minute, but Lucas Furtado made an easy save.

The São Paulo team grew into the match and began to surround the defense more. In the 27th minute, the red-and-black number 1 intervened again, heading in a corner kick. After two consecutive attacks, Corinthians scored their second in the 31st minute.

The equalizer nearly came in the 34th minute, after a free kick was left behind. Mora sent a shot into the middle of the box, but no one was there. Pedro Leão received the ball from João Alves, had a good opportunity, and shot over in the 38th minute. Flamengo fought hard, but the equalizer ultimately eluded them.
