In the first round of the Abano Footeball Trophy U-14 international tournament, Flamengo drew 0-0 with Udinese (ITA) on Wednesday morning (17), at the delle Terme stadium, in Italy. Rubro-Negro is in Group B alongside Udinese, Juventus (ITA) and Dynamo Kiev (UKR).

The game
Early in the match, Flamengo valued possession in the attacking half. In the 13th minute, Cezar Augusto took a free kick from the edge of the box, and the goalkeeper made the save. The Boys from the Nest had complete control of possession and exchanged passes, looking for space in the Italian defense.

In the 20th minute, João Vitor received the ball in a good position and shot over the bar. A good performance from the red-and-black team. In Mengão's best chance of the game, in stoppage time, Luiz Guilherme received the ball in the six-yard box and ended up shooting wide. The first half ended 0-0.

In the second half, just six minutes into the second half, Guilherme received the ball on the right wing and took a shot, but the ball went over the goal. The Mais Querido continued to control the action and create attacking opportunities. Despite their superiority and the numerous chances created, the red-and-black team failed to convert their opportunities into goals, and the match ended with no change in the score.

Next challenge
The U-14 Ninho Boys return to the field this Thursday (18) to face Juventus (ITA), at 12:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Monterosso stadium, in the second round of the group stage of the international Abano Trophy tournament.
