Flamengo and Vasco faced each other this Sunday morning (17), at Artsul, for the first leg of the final of the Campeonato Carioca Sub-17, and drew the classic 1-1. Lucas Vieira scored the red-black goal. Now, the two teams will face each other again next Saturday (23), at Gávea, to define the champion.

The game
The first leg of the final started with a measured approach. Flamengo threatened in the 12th minute, when Douglas Telles delivered a good pass for Camargo, who fired a shot that hit the post.
In the 20th minute, Fred made a good play through the middle and passed to Wanderson, who crossed low to Alan Santos' feet but the striker shot over the goal.

At the end of the first half, Douglas Telles was driving down the right and set up Fred to shoot, the number 7 shot with a deflection and the ball went very close.

Both teams were more focused on defense, and there weren't many high-risk plays, but the best attacks came from the Nest Boys. Halftime: 0-0.

After the break, Mengão started very well with Fred, who dribbled past the opponent, breaking into the box on the left and crossing to Douglas Telles, who shot over Vasco's goal, narrowly missing the opening score. In the 18th minute, Vasco took the lead and made it 1-0.

Flamengo attempted a response with Jhefinho, who headed weakly after receiving a cross. In the next play, Mengão tied the derby. Jhefinho made an individual play and shot over the opposing defender. The ball fell to Lucas Vieira, who finished into the net. During the goal celebration, a scuffle broke out that lasted eight minutes.
The referee sent off two players for Flamengo (Wanderson and Lucas Vieira), and two for Vasco.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, and now the match is open for next week.

Flamengo will face Vasco again on Saturday (23), at 10 am, in Gávea, for the second leg of the decision of the Campeonato Carioca Sub-17.
