Flamengo draws with Ponte Preta in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship

In a game valid for the Brazilian Under-20 and played on the afternoon of last Wednesday (01), in Gávea, Flamengo drew with Ponte Preta, 1-1, with a goal scored by Patrick, who had just entered the game, at 21 minutes of the second half. Marco Geraldino scored for Ponte at three minutes of the second half. 


With this result, Flamengo is in second-to-last place in Group D. In the standings, the result was not good for either team. Flamengo has only one game left in this first phase. They have two points from three games played so far. 

According to the competition rules, each team plays four times in this first phase, in groups of five teams. The top two teams advance. In addition to Flamengo and Ponte Preta, the group also includes Internacional, Sporting, and Palmeiras. Internacional leads the way with two games and two wins, earning six points.

Without playing in the next round, Flamengo returns to the field for the Brazilian Championship on the 14th, when they will face Palmeiras at the Martins Pereira stadium, in São Jose dos Campos/SP. In addition to the Brazilian championship, the red-black Juniors compete in the second round of the Rio de Janeiro championship. Saturday (04), the U-20 takes the field for the 11th round of the Rio Cup, against Bonsucesso, in Gávea, at 15 pm.

U-17 and U-15

In addition to the Juniors, four other categories of the red-black base will take to the field. The under-17 and under-15 teams will play against Nova Iguaçu, at the opponent's CT, on Saturday (02). The Children's team plays at 9 am and the Youth team at 11 am. For the Metropolitan Championship, the under-14 team, at 10:30 am and the under-13 team, at 9 am, will play against União, in Gávea.
