In a duel played on Sunday afternoon (22) at Estádio dos Aflitos, in Recife, and valid for the 12th round of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, the Garotos do Ninho, led by coach Fabio Matias, pressed hard until the last minute, but ended up drawing 0-0 with Sport. The result keeps Flamengo in sixth place in the championship with 21 points won, and within the G8, the classification zone for the quarterfinal stage of the competition. In the next round, Mengão receives Fluminense, in Gávea, in a classic scheduled for Monday (30), at 15 pm. Before, however, Mais Querido returns to the field for the State Championship, and visits Madureira again on Rua Conselheiro Galvão, in the first leg of the Carioca quarterfinals. The match started fairly evenly, with few shots on goal. Sport's first good opportunity fell to Weverson with a header in the 17th minute. Goalkeeper Matheus Cunha saved with his feet, giving the home team a corner. Flamengo responded a minute later when Daniel Cabral took a corner and André headed it toward goal. The defense cleared it, and the ball went out for a corner. In the 27th minute, Pedro Arthur unleashed a rocket from the edge of the box after a good play by Werton, but the ball went over goalkeeper Lucas Bergantin's net.

Mengão was improving in the game and began to pressure Sport in search of their first goal. In the 29th minute, Cleiton headed the ball, but Lucas Bergantin made the save. In the 31st minute, Werton passed to Daniel Cabral, who struck first time. The ball skimmed the left post of the northeastern team's goal. In the 42nd minute, Werton hit a cross, the ball deflected off the defense and went out for a corner once again. Cleiton headed the shot over the goal. 

The Mais Querido continued to attack in the second half. In the 13th minute, Werton received the ball in the box and shot low. Goalkeeper Lucas Bergantin saved it in the corner, without rebounding. In the 17th minute, Werton had his shot blocked by the defense. Lucas André would have scored on the rebound, but Renzo made another precise block and prevented the Garotos do Ninho from opening the scoring. Sport launched a quick counterattack, Flavio received the ball inside the box and shot the ball into the net from the outside.

Flamengo pressed forward and wanted the win. In the 26th minute, Thiaguinho took a free kick, and the opposing goalkeeper made a partial save. Following the play, Werton passed to André, who unleashed a powerful shot against the post. A minute later, Daniel Cabral faced his marker and shot with aplomb, beating the Northeastern goalkeeper. The ball grazed Lucas Bergantin's left post, who was helpless. In the 35th minute, André hit a cross, and the goalkeeper palmed it away for a corner. Thiaguinho then struck powerfully, forcing another save from Sport's star player, directly responsible for the 0-0 score.

The Ninho Boys fought until the end for victory. In the 40th minute, João Pedro, who had just come on, crossed the ball, and André arrived a hundredth of a second too late to score, the Mais Querido's last chance of the game.
