On the afternoon of this Saturday (20), at the Cotia Training Center, the Under-20 Flamengo youth team took to the field to face São Paulo in the Brazilian Championship of the category and return to Rio de Janeiro with 1 point in the bag, after a 1x1 draw.

São Paulo opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the first half, after a poorly awarded penalty for a foul by Gustavo Ramires outside the area on Nicolas Kauan. He himself took the penalty and scored for the São Paulo team.

Coach Marcelo Salazar's team continued attacking, and in the second half, at the 20-minute mark, the red-and-black team equalized with a goal from Josmar. The number 9 took advantage of a ball cleared by the defense, controlled it with his chest, and finished without letting the ball bounce, scoring a beautiful goal and giving the final score to the match.

Flamengo's next match in the Brasileirão is next Thursday, the 25th, again in São Paulo, this time against Corinthians, in a game that will be a direct confrontation for a spot in the knockout stage of the Brasileirão Sub-20.
