After the victory in the debut, Flamengo's under-20 team has another challenge ahead. The team faces the leader of group 24, Palmeira/RN, this Tuesday (January 5.01), at 19 pm, broadcast on SporTV. For coach Zé Ricardo, the team from Rio Grande do Norte gained more strength after thrashing União Mogi in the first round.
"I saw a good portion of their game yesterday. Palmeira-RN fully deserved the win; they were better than União Mogi from the start. I didn't see any individual standouts, but collectively the team was always involved in the match. Their debut was a real decision, as they understood that it was their only chance of qualifying if they got all three points yesterday," he analyzed.

Zé Ricardo also commented on what he expects from the match:
"I think they'll play defensively tomorrow and try to exploit counterattacks. They're a determined team that fights hard throughout the game," he said.

What is the sequence of the Copa SP de Juniores?
There are 112 clubs in 28 groups of four each, with the top two from each qualifying for the next stage. Coach Zé Ricardo's team is in group 24, along with Palmeira from Rio Grande do Norte, União Mogi from São Paulo, and Red Bull Brasil, also from São Paulo. If they advance, the team will face the team that qualifies from group 23, which includes Atibaia, Brasília, Goiânia, and Portuguesa. The next stage begins on the 8th.
