Having qualified in third place for the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Under-17 Championship, Flamengo will face Atlético-MG this Tuesday (30), at 17:30 pm, at the Luso Brasileiro Stadium, located on Ilha do Governador, in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The place in the semifinals is disputed in a single match. If they advance, Rubro-Negro will face the winner of the duel between Atlético-PR and Fluminense, scheduled for the same day and time, at CT do Caju, in Curitiba.

Coach Daniel Franklin led the final training session before the match against the Minas Gerais team on Monday morning at the George Helal Training Center. After 19 games in the qualifying phase of the Brazilian Under-17 Championship, Flamengo reached 37 points, with 11 wins, four draws, and four losses. They scored 40 goals and conceded 23. João Vitor and Ryan Roberto are the top scorers for Flamengo, with 11 goals each.

The Mais Querido is seeking its third title in the competition, having been champions in 2019 and 2021. To secure its place in the quarterfinals, the Garotos do Ninho beat Corinthians 2-1 away from home, with goals from Ryan Roberto and João Vitor, from a penalty. The result eliminated the São Paulo team.
