Led by coach Gilmar Popoca, Flamengo U-17 faces Corinthians this Thursday (16.04) and 23.04. The first game will be at the São Paulo team's home ground and the return leg will be at the Rubro-Negro's home ground. The first match will be broadcast on ESPN Brasil, starting at 19:20 pm.

After thrashing 7-1 and eliminating the current champion, Atlético Mineiro, the team secured qualification and continues in the competition. The U-17 group also competes in the Guanabara Cup and, after the match against the São Paulo team, the red-blacks take to the field on Saturday (18.04), at 11 am, in Gávea, against Boa Vista in the first round of the Carioca State Championship.
