Back in Brazil after 25 days in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, where they competed in the U-20 Libertadores, Flamengo returns to the field this Wednesday (1) to face Criciúma, in the city of the same name, in Santa Catarina, for the Brazilian Championship in the category. The duel — valid for the fourth round of the competition — will be played at 15 pm, at the opponent's CT.

With two wins and one loss, Flamengo occupies sixth place in the Brazilian U-20 Championship, with six points, the same as Santos and Cruzeiro, who are ahead on goal difference. Vasco da Gama leads with nine points, followed by Corinthians and Palmeiras, who each have seven. Criciúma is in 14th position. The team from Santa Catarina has won one match and lost two.

The last match for the Flamengo team, managed by coach Bruno Pivetti, was on March 22nd, when they played the U-20 Libertadores final against Santiago Wanderers of Chile. After a 1-1 draw in regulation time, the Chilean team won 5-4 in the penalty shootout. Adding together the results from the main youth competition in South America and the first three rounds of the Brazilian Championship for the same age group, Flamengo has played eight games, with five wins, two draws, and only one loss. They have scored 21 goals and conceded 13.
