Coach Nuno Campos and striker Pedro Leão: Flamengo faces Palmeiras in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship

Everything is ready for Flamengo to enter the field and play the duel with Palmeiras, this Monday (25), at 20 pm, at Arena Barueri, for the 12th round of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. The delegation headed to São Paulo on Saturday and coach Nuno Campos led the last training session before the match, on Sunday afternoon, at CT do São Paulo, in Cotia.

A goalless draw with Juventude in the previous round at Gávea deprived Flamengo, which has 20 points, of the chance to close the gap on Palmeiras, which leads the competition with 24 and also drew 2-2 away from home against Fortaleza. Now, Flamengo heads into another direct clash in the competition against its São Paulo rival.

Three players will be out of action for Nuno Campos' team after receiving their third yellow card: defender Iago, the team captain, defensive midfielder Fabiano, and midfielder Guilherme. It's worth noting that after facing Palmeiras, the "Garotos do Ninho" will only return to the field more than two weeks later, on June 11th at 21:30 pm at the Luso Brasileiro Stadium on Governador Island.
