Flamengo enters the field at the Banco Guayaquil Stadium, in Quito, this Thursday (19), at 16 pm (Brasília time), to face Olimpia-PAR, in the dispute for a place in the final of the tournament. Palmeiras and Santiago Wanderers-CHI, play the other semifinal, on the same date and place, at 18:30 pm (Brasília time). The decision is scheduled for Sunday (22).
Having the best campaign in the group stage, Rubro-Negro — whose squad's average age is 18,2 years — is 15 games unbeaten in the U-20 Libertadores, with 11 wins. Coach Bruno Pivetti led, this Wednesday (18), the last activity before the confrontation with the Paraguayan team. The final training session was held at the Aucas CT, located in the Ecuadorian capital.
In the group stage of the U-20 Libertadores Cup, the Flamengo youth team won two games 4-1, against Estudiantes de Mérida (Venezuela) and Bolívar (Bolivia), and drew 0-0 with Independiente Medellín (Colombia). Ryan Roberto, Alan, and Da Mata each scored twice. Josmar and Pablo scored the other goals for Flamengo.
Flamengo's under-20 team played three more games in 2026 — all in the Brazilian Championship for that age group. They had two wins and one loss, scoring ten goals and conceding nine.
The Banco Guayaquil Stadium will host the two semi-final matches on Thursday (19), as well as the final and the third-place match next Sunday (22). The times for the matches that close the Libertadores Sub-20 have not yet been announced.
