Flamengo faces União Mogi for the Copinha
The under-20 team plays its final game of the first phase in search of group leadership.

Qualified for the second phase of the São Paulo Junior Cup after beating Palmeira/RN 5-1, Flamengo takes to the field this Thursday night (07.01), to face União Mogi in the last round of the first stage of the competition. The match takes place at 19 pm, at the Francisco Ribeiro Nogueira stadium, the Nogueirão, with broadcast on SporTV channels.
Coming off two consecutive victories in the Copinha with the team, midfielder Ronaldo, one of the highlights in the match that marked Mais Querido's qualification for the second phase, spoke about the game against Palmeira/RN and about his moment in the team.
"The match against Palmeira/RN was great. The team is focused, united, and we're working hard to go far in the competition. I was super happy with the comments and praise from the fans after the game. I'll try to improve even more to reach the professional level," he said.
Regarding the game, which marks the final round of the championship's first phase, the athlete spoke of his expectations. "Flamengo always goes in to win, and we want to close out the first phase with a victory and nine points," he concluded.

There are 112 clubs in 28 groups of four each, with the top two from each qualifying for the next stage. Coach Zé Ricardo's team is in group 24, along with Palmeira from Rio Grande do Norte, União Mogi from São Paulo, and Red Bull Brasil, also from São Paulo. The Rubro-Negro, already guaranteed a spot in the next stage, faces the team that qualifies from group 23, which includes Atibaia, Brasília, Goiânia, and Portuguesa.
