Flamengo's youth team is through to the final of the BH Junior Football Cup after defeating Vitória 2-0 this Friday (31.08/17). In search of their fourth title in the competition, the Gávea club will face the winner of the match between Grêmio and Cruzeiro today at 02.08pm. The final will take place on Sunday (11/XNUMX) at XNUMXam at the Nova Serrana Stadium in Minas Gerais.

Moved, the red-and-black player Romário highlighted all the effort the team made to reach the grand final.

"Today we showed everyone who doubted that our team is strong and that we can do it because we believe and train hard to achieve this," he declared.

After a very even first half, with almost no dangerous chances, Flamengo came out of the locker room for the second half with great determination and inspiration. Just two minutes in, number 10 Fernandinho dribbled past Vitória's entire defense and shot toward goal, opening the scoring. Flamengo didn't stop there. Rafinha, in the sixth minute, received a great pass from Lucas and extended the lead, scoring his first goal of the Championship. From then on, Flamengo controlled the rest of the match and sealed the victory for the red-and-blacks.
