Flamengo is in the semifinals of the Carioca Sub-17 tournament.

Flamengo has qualified for the semifinals of the Carioca Under-17 Championship. After a two-goal draw with Sampaio Corrêa, from Saquarema, the Rubro-Negro advanced with an aggregate score of 4x2. Jordan Michael and Luiz Guilherme scored the goals for Mengão in the match played this Saturday (13), at the José Bastos Padilha Stadium.

After 34 minutes of play, the Flamengo youth team took the lead. Jordan Michael found the net, extending their advantage in the quarter-final knockout stage. The second goal came later in the second half, in the 39th minute, when Luiz Guilherme scored after an assist from Isaac.

Before the end of the match, however, Sampaio Corrêa reacted and managed to tie the game. The first goal was scored in the 41st minute and the second in the last play of the match.

Flamengo qualified for the Carioca semifinals after beating Saquarema 2-0 in the first leg. Before competing for one of the spots in the final, the Flamengo U-17 team will face Atlético-MG in the fourth round of the Brazilian U-17 Championship. The match is scheduled for next Tuesday (16), at 14:45 pm.
