Flamengo made its debut in the São Paulo Junior Football Cup on Monday night (2), against Floresta, from Ceará. The match held at the Zezinho Magalhães Stadium, in Jaú, was lively, but ended in a goalless draw. With the result, the Most Beloved adds its first point in group 5 of the competition.

The Garotos do Ninho return to the field next Thursday (5), to face Aparecidense, at 21:45 pm, in the second round of the Copinha.

 

The game

The match started very evenly, with both teams fighting for the ball but unable to finish. Flamengo's first chance in the match came from Lorran, who broke through the middle and shot low, but the ball went wide.

Next came Mais Querido's best opportunity of the match. Ryan Luka received the ball in the box and shot; Floresta's goalkeeper made a great save, and Dudu fired over the rebound. 

In the final stretch of the first half, Evertton had a good chance with his head, but the ball just went wide. 

Flamengo came back stronger in the second half. The best chances were created on the left by Petterson. In the 11th minute, the winger received the ball, cut inside, and fired a powerful shot; the ball hit the outside of the net.

As the game drew to a close, Ryan Luka received the ball in the box and played as a pivot. Lorran took a shot but lacked power. The ball went over the bar. The two teams battled until the end, but the match ended in a scoreless draw.
