Just three days after winning the Guanabara Cup and securing a place in the final of the State Championship, Flamengo's U-17 team debuted with a victory in the Taça BH, the second-highest competition in its category in Brazil. Playing in Ponte Nova, the Garotos do Ninho faced the local team and, despite being down to ten men since the 39th minute of the first half due to Vinícius's red card, won the difficult match 2-0.

Just two minutes into the second half, Luan took a free kick into the corner and opened the scoring with a stunning goal. In the 22nd minute, Leandro passed to Rhyan, who passed to Ramon. He burst into the opponent's box and fired a powerful, high-quality shot into the top corner, scoring another stunning goal and sealing the crucial opening victory.

With the 1-1 draw between Grêmio and Paraná, Mais Querido ends the first round as the sole leader of group G, and returns to the field for the Taça BH on Friday (14), at a new venue. The Garotos do Ninho travel to Rio Doce, where they will face Paraná, at 20 pm. If they win, they will confirm their qualification for the second phase. On Sunday (16), again in Rio Doce, Rubro-Negro closes its participation in the group stage against Grêmio, at 13 pm.
