Flamengo debuts with victory in the Conmebol Libertadores U-20

The first step has been taken. In its debut match in the CONMEBOL Libertadores U-20 Championship, Flamengo defeated Defensor-URU 1-0 on Monday, with a goal from striker Wallace Yan. The Group C match was held at the Domingo Burgueño Stadium in the Uruguayan city of Maldonado. In the group's other match, Aucas-EQU defeated Sporting Cristal-PER 3-1.
And the opponent of the Garotos do Ninho in the next round will be the Ecuadorian team, next Thursday (7), at 15 pm (Brasília time), in Maldonado. It is worth mentioning that the The leader of each group and the best second-placed team qualify for the semi-final.
The game
With a strong technical approach, the team led by coach Mário Jorge started the match eager for victory. And just 8 minutes in, they deservedly scored. A well-worked play by Nigerian Shola on the left flank. The striker delivered a perfect cross for Wallace Yan to head home: 1-0 Mengão.
