Flamengo's youth team made a strong debut in the Rio Cup this Saturday at Gávea. With goals from Pablo, Igor Sartori, and Romário, the Rubro-Negro defeated Resende 3-1 and took the first step toward winning the competition, which allows players up to 20 years old.
Led by Cleber dos Santos, the red-and-black kids played a great match, giving their opponents no chance. The Rio U-20 Cup is played in the same format as the professional tournament.
In the next round, the boys will take the field against Boavista. The game will take place at Nivaldo Pereira Stadium (Austin), on Saturday (23.03), at 15:30 pm.
