Flamengo begins this Saturday (05.01) the search for the third title of the São Paulo Junior Football Cup, also known as Copinha. The Most Beloved in Brazil, which won the competition in 1990 and 2011, takes to the field tomorrow, when it faces Rondonópolis-MT, in Group E, which also includes América-SP and Santos-AP. The match is scheduled for 21 pm (Brasília time), at the Benedito Teixeira stadium, in São José do Rio Preto.

Carlos Noval, director of Flamengo's youth teams, is confident the team will perform well in the competition.

"The team as a whole is good. This team stands out for its technical quality. The group is very good," summarizes Noval.

The São Paulo Junior Football Cup brings together 100 teams, which are divided into 25 groups. After the match against Rondonópolis-MT, the Rubro-Negro faces Santos-AP (January 08.01) and then faces América-SP (January 11.01). The Copinha final takes place on January 25th.
