Flamengo wins the Umbro Under-14 Cup in Pato Branco, Paraná.
Flamengo wins 3-1 against Internacional-RS in the final. The under-9 and under-10 categories also achieve good results.

Flamengo concluded another trip considered of great importance in the planning of the youth categories. And after more than a week in the interior of Paraná, they brought back the title of the Umbro Cup Under-14. In the final, played last Sunday (7), the Garotos do Ninho beat Internacional-RS 3-1, at the Os Pioneiros Stadium, in Pato Branco, with goals from Jean (2) and Moraes.
Seeking experiences and exchanges between major Brazilian teams, Flamengo played six matches and won them all, scoring 16 goals and conceding only two. In their debut match, played on December 2nd, Flamengo defeated Palmeiras 3-0. The goals were scored by Lauender, Jean, and Kauã Lucas.
The following day, the Flamengo team beat Cuiabá 4-0. Kauã Lucas, Jean, Adryan, and Deivid scored the goals. In the third round, Flamengo faced Internacional-RS and won again, this time 2-1, with goals from Jean and Adryan. In the quarterfinals, Gustavo and Deivid scored the goals in the 2-0 victory for the team managed by coach Fernando Vannucci over Avaí. To reach the final, Flamengo beat Santos 2-0, with goals from Deivid and Davi Rodrigues.
The Flamengo youth team (Garotos do Ninho) achieved two more good results in two categories. After winning 1-0 against Vasco in the first leg of the final at the Almirante Training Center in Caxias, in the Baixada Fluminense region, Flamengo drew 0-0 with their rival in the decisive match and won the Taça Rio Edilson Silva Sub-9 title at the Vargens Training Center. In the Superfinal of the Taça Edilson Silva, played as a single match, the Flamengo youth team won 1-0 against Fluminense away from home at the Manoel Schwartz Stadium in Laranjeiras.
