In another step towards recruiting athletes for Flamengo's youth teams, director Alfredo Almeida and the manager of the youth divisions' scout/market department, Ricardo Perlingeiro, went to Itapitanga, a city in the interior of Bahia, last Friday (9), to start a partnership with Tolentino Esportes.
Flamengo will partner with Tolentino Esportes to recruit youth athletes in the Northeast region. The two-day event took place at Lourival David dos Santos Stadium, known as Lourão, under the watchful eye of Alfredo and Ricardo, who formalized the partnership with José Silva, CEO of Tolentino Esportes. The first day was also attended by Itapitanga Mayor Gils Dórea and Deputy Mayor Joel Fernando.
It was a promising starting point for capturing talent from a state and region that has already produced several elite athletes in Brazilian football.
