Flamengo concluded its participation in the Campeonato Carioca U-20 with a 1-0 victory over Fluminense. Despite the favorable result, the "Mais Querido" (Flamengo) finished second in the competition, having lost the first leg of the finals 3-0 to Fluminense. The match was held at the Moça Bonita Stadium in Bangu, and midfielder Fernandinho scored the only goal of the afternoon.

"I'm happy to have scored the goal that gave Flamengo the victory. We achieved one of our objectives, which was to beat Fluminense, but we didn't achieve the title, our main goal. At least we won and played well," said Fernandinho.

Flamengo's 18-year-old striker Douglas Baggio finished the competition as one of the top scorers. With ten goals, he shares first place in the scoring charts with Botafogo's Yguinho. Flamengo can also be proud of having the best attack in the championship, scoring 49 goals.

This Sunday (May 19.05), the red-black U-20 players will go on vacation. They will be out of training for a month and, in June, they will return to Ninho do Urubu to begin training for the Taça BH de Juniores, one of the most traditional competitions in the category, which begins in July.
