Classification and rout. In the regional classic between the two biggest fan bases in Brazil, Mengão won. Playing this Wednesday (28), in Gávea, the Garotos do Ninho Sub-17 beat Corinthians 5-0, in the last round of the classification phase of BBrazilian category. The red-black goals were scored by Alan Santos, Douglas Telles, Lipão and Joshua.

With this result, Flamengo is qualified for the quarterfinals and will face Fluminense in two games (home and away). 

The game

Needing a win to secure their spot in the top four of their group, Rafael Zuma's team came out very focused and created a string of chances to open the scoring, most of them thanks to Jhefinho. The first opportunity came in the 10th minute, with a cross-shot from Lipão. Minutes later, Douglas Telles and Kaio Nóbrega had real chances to score. 

But in the 26th minute, there was no way out. A superb pass from Lipão reached the goal. The red-and-black striker sent a low cross from the right, for Alan Santos to follow up with a precise finish almost at the edge of the six-yard box. 

Even going into halftime with a positive result, Brazil's Most Beloved decided to secure their victory early in the second half. Striker Douglas Telles honored his number 10 jersey and scored two beautiful goals. Just two minutes in, Alan Santos was released down the left flank and delivered a perfect low cross, which Douglas tapped into the back of the net. Five minutes later, full-back Luiz Phellipe also broke through down the left flank and passed to the striker, who caught it first time inside the six-yard box. 

And the rout didn't end there! On another inspired afternoon, Luiz Phellipe delivered another beautiful cross, which Lipão headed in: 4-0. To seal the deal, Joshua, who returned to the team after two months of recovery, scored in the 42nd minute.
