On Friday night (12), Flamengo hosted Elosport at Arena Barueri and thrashed their opponent, winning 5-0 and securing qualification for the third phase of the São Paulo Junior Football Cup. The goals were scored by Germano (own goal), Luiz Henrique, Yuri, Matheus Dantas and Patrick.

With the result, Mais Querido faces Coritiba next Sunday (14), at 18 pm. Having achieved a better campaign than its opponent so far, Rubro-Negro will continue playing at Arena Barueri.
The game
From the opening minutes, the Mais Querido (Most Beloved) team chased the ball and tried to create opportunities to open the scoring. Rubro-Negro created good plays, particularly with fast plays and shots from outside the box.

In the seventh minute, the game began to change. Matheus Dantas delivered a great pass to Yuri, who surged down the right and crossed. As he tried to clear the ball, defender Germano ended up deflecting it into the net, taking his goalkeeper out of the play and opening the scoring for Flamengo.

Flamengo continued to dominate possession and managed to control Elosport, conceding only two dangerous attempts from the opposing team. On the other hand, Flamengo pressed forward until, in the 41st minute, Luiz Henrique received the ball, dribbled past his marker, and scored a beautiful goal for Flamengo, extending the lead to 2-0.

Just like in the first half, Rubro-Negro dominated the attacks and managed to score more goals. In the 10th minute, Yuri received a spectacular backheel from Vitor Gabriel, made a beautiful individual play, and scored the third.

Defender Matheus Dantas also scored his first goal in the São Paulo Cup. With a beautiful free kick, the number 13 struck low and into the corner, extending the lead to 4-0. To seal the rout and qualification, Patrick, who came on in the second half, capitalized on a loose ball after Samuel's attempt, putting the ball in the back of the net.
