On an inspired afternoon for the U-17 Ninho Boys, Flamengo thrashed Athletico-PR 4-0 on Tuesday, sealing their place in the Brazilian Championship semifinals. Menegatti, Lorran, Bill, and Guilherme Gomes scored for the red-and-blacks.

The opponent in the next round will be São Paulo. The first round will take place in Rio de Janeiro.

The game

Quite aggressive offensively in the first minutes of the match, especially on the right side with Lucyan, Flamengo showed what they were made of.

In the 22nd minute, after a one-two between Douglas Telles and Lorran, the number 10 fired a shot over the defense. But in the 24th minute, there was no way out. After Bill's corner kick, midfielder Menegatti opened the scoring.

Goalkeeper Caio Barone, at 39, made his only good intervention. At

Luis Aucélio, who came on in the second half, narrowly missed scoring the fourth in the 29th minute. Midfielder Guilherme Gomes, another midfielder brought on by coach Leo Ramos, also scored a stunning goal. In the 47th minute, Felipe Teresa had the final chance of the game.
