Another rout! In the second round of the São Paulo Junior Football Cup, Flamengo defeated Floresta 4-0 on Saturday night (8), at Arena Barueri. Mengão's goals were scored by Ryan Luka, Andre, Werton and Pedro Arthur. With the victory, the Boys of the Nest qualified with one round to spare for the next stage of the Copinha.

The game
Flamengo started the match suffocating Floresta in their own half, looking to score the first goal in the 12th minute. Matheus França launched the ball into the box for Ryan Luka, who controlled it with style on his chest and fired home a shot to open the scoring at Arena Barueri: 1-0.

The Flamengo attack was very active, making it difficult for the opposition to defend. Werton and Andre alternated runs down the right wing, confusing the Floresta defense. In the 22nd minute, Flamengo extended their lead! Matheus França found Marcos Paulo on the left, the full-back crossed, and Andre, free in the box, simply tapped the ball into the net: 2-0.

Early in the second half, Mengão scored the third! Ryan Luka passed to Marcos Paulo in the box, the full-back sent a cross-shot that the goalkeeper managed to palm away. The rebound was blocked by Werton, who tapped it home: 3-0. Flamengo calmly occupied the entire attacking field, exchanging quick passes.

In the 13th minute, Marcos Paulo unleashed a powerful shot from the middle of the field, which flew just wide of the crossbar. It would have been a stunning goal for the left-back, who was putting in an excellent performance. Midway through the second half, coach Fabio Matias made a series of substitutions to breathe new life into the red-and-black team and maintain the same intensity.

With victory in sight, the Ninho Boys began to pace their play. In the 38th minute, Mengão scored the fourth goal that sealed the victory. In a swift counterattack led by Petterson, the forward passed to Mateusão, who raced down the right and passed to Pedro Arthur. The forward, from outside the box, placed a fine pass and fired into the right corner, unstoppable by goalkeeper Cauã: 4-0.

In another fine collective performance, the Red-Blacks secured their second consecutive victory and advanced to the round of 29 of the Copinha. In the final round, Flamengo and Oeste will simply battle it out for first place in Group XNUMX.
