Qualified! In the round of 2 of the São Paulo Junior Football Cup, Flamengo defeated Botafogo-SP 1-XNUMX at the José Liberatti Stadium (Osasco-SP) and advanced to the next stage of the competition. Daniel Rogério and Felipe Lima, in the last minute of stoppage time, scored the goals that secured Flamengo's qualification.  

The game
The match began with a fiercely contested contest, with both teams vying for possession. As time wore on, the Ninho Boys managed to control the action with passing exchanges in the attacking half. Until the 17th minute, Mengão opened the scoring in Osasco. Wallace Yan crossed from the left, the ball traveled across the box, and Daniel Rogério caught it first time to bulge the net: 1-0.

After the goal, Botafogo loosened up and began to reach Lucas Furtado's goal more frequently. In the final stretch of the first half, the red-and-black team controlled the game and went into halftime with the lead.

Early in the second half, the Red-Blacks came out on top. Weliton passed the ball to Wallace Yan at the edge of the box, who shot toward goal, but the goalkeeper saved it. With the advantage, the Red-Blacks calmly exchanged passes in the attacking half, looking for the best play.

Botafogo, meanwhile, relied on stealing the ball to get down the counterattack quickly, but Flamengo managed to quickly rebuild. In the 39th minute, Lucas Furtado made a great save that prevented the equalizer.

In stoppage time, Botafogo equalized with Thalles, who turned on the edge of the box and fired a low shot into the corner: 1-1. Anyone who thought the game would go to penalties was mistaken! As the clock ran out, Mengão launched an attack and was rewarded with a stunning goal from Felipe Lima, who fired a shot into the top corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance: 2-1.

Qualified for the quarterfinals, Garoto do Ninho will face Aster-SP next Friday (19), at 19 pm, in Osasco-SP.
