Flamengo failed to qualify for the final of the Under-17 Brazil Cup. The team was defeated 3-0 by Vasco da Gama, in the second leg of the competition's semi-final, played this Tuesday (29), at the Luso-Brasileiro Stadium.

From the start of the match, Rubro-Negro sought to pressure their opponents' possession. However, the strategy didn't produce any dangerous chances when they stole possession. The most incisive plays were a corner kick in the 34th minute and a shot from Pedro Henrique shortly after.

At the end of the first half, in the 39th minute, Vasco opened the scoring with a header from a free kick. Four minutes later, the opponent doubled their lead.

Coach Daniel Franklin made two changes for the second half. Davi Waisman replaced Pedrinho, and Ryan Roberto, who missed the start of the match due to a fever, replaced João Ricardo. Flamengo tried to speed up the game to mount a comeback, but Vasco dropped back significantly, waiting for counterattacks.

The Rubro-Negro stepped up their game late in the match, with Ryan Roberto putting in some good plays, a shot saved by the goalkeeper, and a cross from Davi, who was stopped by the defense. It was Vasco, however, who got the third, with another goal late in the second half.
