Flamengo's under-20 football team played this Tuesday afternoon (14.07) against Fluminense in the second phase of the Brazilian Championship in the category, at the Moça Bonita stadium, in Bangu. Rubro-Negro, who were undefeated until then, lost to the tricolor by 1 to 0, finishing the day in fourth place in their group. 

The match, which marked the start of the second phase of the championship, was a close one, mainly due to the intense heat of the day. Fluminense opened the scoring in the 37th minute of the first half, with a goal from the Tricolor's number 9 Matheus Pato. Early in the second half, Flamengo had real chances through Douglas Baggio and then Cafu, but finished the match without scoring. 

The next challenge for Rubro-Negro is next Wednesday (22.07) against Palmeiras, in Gávea. Flamengo plays the second phase in Group E, which, in addition to Fluminense and Palmeiras, also includes Vasco da Gama from Rio de Janeiro.
