In the last round of the group stage of the Brasileirão Sub-17, Flamengo was defeated by Fortaleza 2-1 on Thursday afternoon (29), in Gávea, and ended up being eliminated from the competition. Lucyan scored the only red-black goal in the match. The Garotos do Ninho finished in fifth place in Group B with 13 points.  

The game
In the rain and on a heavy pitch, Flamengo started the match passing the ball from foot to foot in the attacking half. Fortaleza, in turn, pressed hard, making it difficult for the red-and-black team to get the ball in play. In the 17th minute, after a corner kick, Iago rose higher than the defense and headed dangerously.

In the 29th minute, Daniel Sales took a free kick into the box, and Carbone rose with style to head it in powerfully. The goalkeeper stretched out and put it out for a corner. With few scoring chances, the first half ended goalless.

The Mais Querido continued to push for the lead from the first minute of the second half. In the 4th minute, Felipe Lima took a first-time shot in the box's half-moon, and the goalkeeper saved it. Fortaleza came back more offensively and threatened the red-and-black goal.

In the 25th minute, Fortaleza took the lead through Paulo Roberto, making it 0-1. Minutes later, Wallace Yan was awarded a penalty. Matheus Gonçalves stepped up to take the shot, but the goalkeeper saved it. Lucyan tapped in the rebound to make it 1-1.

In the final minutes, Fortaleza scored the second again with Paulo Roberto, who headed the ball after a free kick in the box: 1-2. With the defeat, Rubro-Negro did not qualify for the next phase and ended their participation in the championship.
